Allot Land for Navodaya Vidyalayas: Arvind to CM
Hyderabad: BJP Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind urged Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to allot 20 acres of land each in Nizamabad and Jagtial districts to set up Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, which were recently approved by the Union government.
Arvind, along with Jagtial MLA Dr Sanjay Kumar, met the Chief Minister at his residence on Sunday and brought to his notice the proposed sites in the two districts.
He also explained about the ongoing road over bridge (RoB) works at Madhava Nagar near Nizamabad that was coming up with 50:50 central and state funds. The RoB near Adivi Mamidipally was fully funded by the Centre but the previous BRS administration had diverted the money, Arvind said.
The BJP MP also pointed out that the contractors were facing tough times due to the inordinate delay in clearing their bills. He asked the Chief Minister to ensure the timely completion of all works.
The BJP leader sought early completion of the obstacles limitation surface survey and submission of its findings to the Centre to carry out works pertaining to the Jakranpally greenfield airport. Later, the MP said that Revanth Reddy had responded positively to their requests.
