Ameenpur Residents Meet Hydraa Chief, Demand Compensation From Illegal Sellers
Hyderabad: Residents of Ameenpur, whose houses were demolished by HYDRAA on September 22, met the agency’s commissioner A. V. Ranganath here on Friday. They complained that some people had sold them properties on Survey No. 12, which is government land, by showing documents of Survey No. 6, which is private property.
They named Madhava Reddy, Chandrashekar and Koteeswara Rao and urged Ranganath to give them compensation after collecting the amounts from all those who had illegally sold them plots in government land.
Ranganath said that HYDRAA would take up a full-length survey and ensure that the victims are duly compensated.
The complainants also pointed out that the Ameenpur pedda cheruvu gates have remained closed, and the pond water had entered the upper side.
They said that the water must go to Bandikunta lake, but with the gates being closed, the water is running from the upper side of the pond and entering their houses.
Venkataramana Colony residents complained that a realty firm had encroached on a park and its roadways in Survey No. 153’s HUDA-permitted layout. They requested the commissioner to take steps to protect the park and roads in the layout.
