Amrapali Appointed as GHMC Commissioner, Relieved of 3 FAC Roles

Hyderabad: In a minor reshuffle of IAS officers on Tuesday, the state government has appointed Amrapali Kata as the commissioner of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

Amrapali had been serving in this position as full additional charge (FAC) since June 24.

With this appointment, she has now been relieved of her FAC roles in several other key positions as the managing director of Musi River Development Corporation Ltd. (MRDCL), the managing director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd. (HGCL), and as the joint commissioner of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).

The government has assigned the additional responsibility of managing director of MRDCL to M. Dana Kishore, principal secretary to the government in the municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) department.

Sarfaraz Ahmad, who currently serves as the metropolitan commissioner of HMDA, will now take on the additional role of managing director of Hyderabad Growth Corridor Ltd.

Kota Sreevatsa, previously the additional commissioner of GHMC, has been transferred to the role of joint commissioner of HMDA.

In addition, Chahat Bajpai, who was awaiting a posting, has been appointed as the municipal commissioner of Karimnagar Municipal Corporation. Mayank Mittal, formerly the additional collector (local bodies) of Narayanpet, has been transferred to the position of executive director of the Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS&SB).
