Vijayawada: Andhra Pradesh High Court has dismissed petitions of YSR Congress leaders and activists seeking anticipatory bail in the TDP head office attack case. The High Court even refused to hold its order to allow the petitioners to move the Supreme Court.
A single judge bench headed by Justice V.R.K. Krupa Sagar delivered this verdict here on Wednesday.
The court dismissed the petition by former minister Jogi Ramesh with a plea to grant anticipatory bail to him and his followers in a case of altercation at the residence of N. Chandrababu Naidu when he was the leader of the opposition.
The judge dismissed the argument of petitioners that they are being implicated in the case as an accused in the incident that took place in 2021 only with an intention of troubling them.
YSR Congress leaders Lella Appireddy, Talasila Raghuram, Nandigam Suresh, Devineni Avinash and several activists had filed separate petitions in the case of attack on the TDP head office.
The court heard their petitions on August 21 and had reserved its verdict.
