Hyderabad: The Aquino Squadron clinched the Commandant’s Banner for Autumn Term 2024 at the Air Force Academy (AFA), Dundigal. AFA Commandand Air Marshal S. Srinivas presented the banner to the squadron at a grand event at the Tejas Parade Ground

The Champion Squadron’s cadets will proudly sport a lanyard on their left shoulder throughout the next term, a symbol of their remarkable achievement.

Flight Cadet Phalke Saee Vikram, squadron cadet captain of Aquino Squadron, received the banner. Speaking after the ceremony, he said, “This achievement is a testament to our hard work, unity, and dedication. It is an honour to carry forward the squadron’s legacy.” Cadets from all squadrons participated in a march past, to martial tunes played by the IAF Band.

Air Marshal Shrinivas lauded the cadets’ commitment, saying, “The competitive spirit, camaraderie, and leadership displayed by all cadets embody the values we uphold at the Academy. Physical fitness and mental resilience are the cornerstones of a successful military career.”

He also commended the instructors for their pivotal role in shaping the cadets into future leaders of the Air Force.
