Aswaraopet SI Sriramulu’s relatives hold rasta roko

HYDERABAD/WARANGAL: Aswaraopeta special sub-inspector (SSI) Sriramulu Srinivas, who had accused his seniors of harassment, succumbed to his suicide bid in Hyderabad on Sunday. His disconsolate family members and relatives held a rasta roko on NH 365 by keeping his body on the road.
They demanded immediate suspension of the errant police personnel who were allegedly responsible for the death of Srinivas.
Srinivas tried to die by suicide over alleged ‘harassment’ by his seniors. He reportedly wrote a suicide note in which he named four officers who allegedly harassed him. He also wrote in the note that he recorded a video of his harassment. Based on his statement, the police registered a case against the authorities.

He said, the state government was responsible for the death of Srinivas and must help his family by sanctioning ex gratia of `1 crore along with the suspension of the errant police personnel.
Meanwhile, Srinivas’ aunt Dhara Rajamma, 60, died from cardiac arrest reportedly after learning about the death of Srinivas, at her village in Nachinapalli of Duggondi mandal of Narsampet constituency.
