Atom Bombs Will Explode in BRS: Ponguleti
Warangal: Minister of Information and Public Relations Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy hinted that ‘atom bombs’ will soon explode against the BRS leaders very soon.
The minister stated that BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao is aware of the mistakes made during his tenure and understands the potential consequences. "This time, it won’t be ordinary Lakshmi bombs; it will be like atom bombs," he remarked, alleging that wrongdoers diverted public funds abroad through improper channels. "No matter how powerful or influential the person is, the law is equal for all. We will trace where the Rs 55 crore were diverted," he added.
The minister made these remarks while participating in developmental activities in Palalkurthy and Wardhannapet constituencies during his visit to Mahbubabad and Warangal districts on Thursday, accompanied by MPs, MLAs, MLCs, and local chairpersons.
Addressing a public meeting in Thorrur, Srinivas Reddy criticised Rama Rao’s comments, recalling how he himself had shown respect by touching BRS chief K. Chandrashekar Rao’s feet upon joining the party. He expressed disappointment, alleging that instead of being treated like a son, he and his followers were harassed by the former CM’s family. This, he said, led to the people of united Khammam district teaching them a lesson.
The minister further alleged that Rama Rao, to cover his mistakes, had privately sought the support of influential people, including business magnate Ambani, asking them to intervene on his behalf in Delhi.
Later, the minister conducted a review meeting, directing officials to ensure smooth operations at paddy procurement centres and complete pending NREGA projects. He also requested proposals for CC roads and land acquisition for new Integrated High Schools in Jangaon and Mahbubabad districts, and instructed officials to issue notices to protect government lands from encroachment.
