Balanagar police nab two persons in robbery case

Hyderabad: The Balanagar police on Thursday arrested two persons in connection with a robbery that took place near Usha Company in Balanagar.

The arrested have been identified as Shaik Sameer alias Haider, 22, a plumber and resident of Jeedimetla and Mohammed Hussain, 19, a private employee and resident of Golkonda. Analyzing CCTV footage of 50 cameras along the escape route and call data records (CDRs), the police traced the arrested persons.

In his complainant, Batchu Satish, 48, of Chintal in Balanagar, lodged a complaint stating that on December 5 around 12.15 am he reached the main gate of Usha Company in Balanagar while returning home from office when Sameer and Hussain came on their bike and hit him after which he fell down from the vehicle.

They took away Satish’s mobile phones, cash, and gold after manhandling him. Balanagar Assistant Commissioner of Police, G Hanumantha Rao said Sameer and Hussain hatched a plan to commit any property offence due to their bad vices. As per their plan, they waylaid and stole valuables from Satish.
