KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said the BJP government is investing Rs 1.09 lakh on each student by establishing Eklavya Model Residential Schools across the country to provide education to tribal students.
Accompanied by district collector Sandeep Kumar Jha and SP Akhil Mahajan, the Union minister inspected the Eklavya Model School here at Doomala village of Yellareddypet mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district on Thursday.
Bandi Sanjay observed every classroom and interacted with students. He learnt that students are facing problems with stones in their meals, no washrooms and no water in the toilets and no physical education teacher in the school.
He assured the students, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent him to resolve their problems and will take immediate steps to address all their issues and encouraged students to study well and bring pride to their parents.
Expressing anger over the school management, Bandi Sanjay questioned them what they are doing when the students complain that there are stones in the rice they eat.
He also pointed out what they are doing when there is no water supply to toilets and why students are not allowed to play games and are not provided with sports equipment.
Bandi Sanjay said with a vision to provide high quality education with all modern facilities to the most backward, tribal and Adivasi communities, the BJP government has sanctioned around 729 Eklavya schools across the country. Of which two schools were set up in Karimnagar parliament segment in Konaraopet and Doomala villages.
