Bandi taps Gadkari for Rs 224 crore to boost Karimnagar transport infra

Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar submits a representation to Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari in Delhi seeking CRIF funds for road expansion works in Karimnagar on Wednesday.

KARIMNAGAR: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar met with Union minister for road transport and highways Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday in Delhi to seek Rs 224 crore from the Central Road Infrastructure Fund (CRIF) to boost transport facilities within the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency.

During the meeting, Bandi Sanjay Kumar submitted a detailed representation outlining several road expansion projects. Key proposals include upgrading the 15-km single-lane road from Kashavapatnam to Saidapur via Papayyapalli to a double lane, and expanding the 30-km stretch from Kodimyala to Thandiryala via Govindaram to a double lane as well.
Further, the representation highlighted plans to widen the 45-km road from Arnakonda to Malyala Chowrasta via Gopalraopet in Choppadandi mandal and the 15-km route from Narayanapur of Yellareddypet mandal to Ramreddypalli of Mustabad mandal via Singaram. Additionally, Bandi Sanjay Kumar requested the construction of a high-level bridge over the Manair River, connecting Pothur Road of Gundlapally to Baopet of Kazipur.
In response, transport minister Nitin Gadkari expressed his support, assuring that a positive decision would be made regarding the allocation. Gadkari also inquired about the progress of ongoing road laying projects that have already received CRIF funding within the Karimnagar Parliamentary Constituency.
