Basara farmer urges CM Revanth Reddy to extend loan waiver to him
Hyderabad: A farmer from Basara in Nirmal district on Friday appealed to the Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to extend loan waiver to him.
In a short video, he recalled how Revanth Reddy, when he was Pradesh Congress President (PCC) president, came to Basara IIIT on his tractor to express solidarity to the students, who were staging a protest in support of their demands.
The farmer Sindhe Siraji hailing from Laabhi village of Basara mandal in Nirmal district said his mother’s name was not in the list of loan waiver and as a result she could not avail the scheme to get financial relief from over Rs.2.5 lakh farm loan.
“CM Sir, Do you remember me? You went to the IIIT in my tractor to meet the students. Owing to the police bandobust, I accompanied you to IIIT from agricultural lands after boarding my tractor. Can you please help me in waiving off my mother’s farm loan,” he said.
