Hyderabad:The BRS on Wednesday lashed out at Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, and the police over the Lagcherla pharma village public hearing incident, with the party working president K.T. Rama Rao declaring that his party will ‘take Revanth to task’ from Kodangal, the Chief Minister’s constituency.

Rama Rao also said that all the BRS leaders will go to Kodangal constituency and expose the “Tughlaqian” decisions of the Chief Minister, against which there is simmering anger among the public in Kodangal. He also slammed the arrest of BRS’ former MLA Patnam Narender Reddy, outside KBR National Park on Wednesday morning, calling the incident a “kidnap” as those who picked up Narender Reddy were not in police uniform, and no warrants for arrest were served.

The entire responsibility and blame for the Lagcherla incident lay with Revanth Reddy. He first announced cancellation of Pharma City plans, then said it was on, and came up with Pharma Villages plan. “When he announced the cancellation, farmers thought their lands would be returned to them. He says, in public, Pharma City is cancelled, but, in the court, the government says no such decision was taken. The government must take back its Pharma Villages plan. People have been opposing the Kondangal Pharma Village plan for the past six months,” he said.

Rama Rao also said land taken from farmers and others for Pharma City cannot be used for any other purpose but Revanth Reddy was encouraging real estate business in the guise of Fourth City, Skill City and so on. “There is a lot of insider trading going on. The BRS will expose the mushrooming of Revanth Reddy’s relatives and their business plans. The government said it will give back the lands taken for Pharma City. It must make it clear by when this will be done,” Rama Rao demanded.
