Bhatti Vikramarka visits Hoover Dam, plans to emulate similar effective water management practices

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka and an official government delegation which is touring the United States visited the hydroelectric power plant at the world-famous Hoover Dam and announced that the state government would emulate similar effective water management and security practices.
The dam was built eight decades ago between the borders of the US states of Nevada and Arizona and generates 2,080 MW of power through its 17 generators and meets the power demands of three states and drinking water requirement of 80 lakh people, besides irrigating a large area, Vikramarka said.
