BITS Pilani Appoints Dr G. Satheesh Reddy as Senior Professor

HYDERABAD: Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani, Hyderabad, on Thursday, announced the appointment of Dr G. Satheesh Reddy, the former chairman of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), as a distinguished senior professor in the department of electrical and Electronics engineering. Dr Reddy's career is marked by nearly four decades of pioneering contributions to India's defence technology. In a statement, Dr Reddy said: "After nearly 39 years at DRDO, continuing my research in an academic setting is a natural step. The establishment of the Centre for Research Excellence in National Security (CRENS) at BITS is particularly compelling." He added that he looked forward to contributing to this centre and collaborating with industry, security agencies, and start-ups to drive innovation.
