Hyderabad: BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna alleged that the Congress government was carrying out demolitions via HYDRAA in an attempt to arrange funds for the party for elections in other states. She said the decision of the state government to extend the ambit of HYDRAA outside Hyderabad was to divert attention from unfulfilled poll promises.

She stated that the actions of the state government had affected the image of Hyderabad, and investors were hesitating to the city. Talking to reporters at the state party office in Nampally, Aruna, the party Mahbubnagar MP, alleged that the Revanth Reddy government had surpassed the earlier Chandrashekar Rao government in corruption.

On other issues, Aruna said that the Joint Parliamentary Committee on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill would hold a meeting in Hyderabad and receive complaints from organisations and individuals. Those who had already already sent their problems and objections through mail and letters, could all meet the JPC members, she said.
