Union minister G. Kishan Reddy claimed that the Congress had failed in making any change from the BRS rule despite promises of delivering a people-oriented administration.

State BJP president and Union minister G. Kishan Reddy said that voters, who faced severe hardships during the creation of Telangana, have been asking the Congress government why it was celebrating its one year in power. He claimed that the Congress had failed in making any change from the BRS rule despite promises of delivering a people-oriented administration.

Releasing a chargesheet against the Congress government on its “failed” poll promises along with party MPs and MLAs, Kishan Reddy accepted the challenge of Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to debate the government’s performance, provided he “controls his language and desists from using vulgar and abusive language.”

Revanth Reddy is emulating former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao in the use of abusive language at public platforms, Kishan Reddy said.

He announced that the party would hold public awareness programmes at all Assembly constituencies up to December 7 on the Congress failing to keep its poll promises. He listed the promise of crop insurance scheme and release of `500 additional bonus on MSP for 10 crops. The BJP leader said that after announcing the Mahalakshmi scheme of free travel for women, the Congress government had reduced the frequency of buses to villages and cancelled a number of services.

Other promises he listed were implemention of Rythu Bharosa within 100 days of coming to power. Failure to clear `7,000 crore fee reimbursement dues and Yuva Vikasam scheme, which promised `5 lakh bank guarantee to students.

He said the government had not set up skill development centres, autorickshaw drivers welfare board and dhobi ghat modernisation works.

He expressed shock at the growing incidents of food poisoning at gurukul and other residential schools and increased incidents of attacks on temples.

BJP vice-president D.K. Aruna earlier released the chargesheet. Senior leaders Etala Rajender, Raghunandan Rao, A. Maheshwar Reddy, Venkata Ramana Reddy, Rakesh Reddy, Harish Babu, Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy, Dr Kasaam Venkateshwarlu, N.V. Subhash and S. Prakash Reddy and others took part in the meeting.
