Bodies of two persons washed away in floods, found in Kodad

Suryapet: Bodies of two persons, who washed away in floods on Saturday night, found at Kodad in the district on Sunday.

Two cars and an autorikshaw washed away in a tream near Vaishnavi school in Kodad. The locals swung into action and rescued the persons, who were travelling in an autorickshaw. They failed to save a person, who were travelling in a car.

The body of N Ravi(55) was found in the washed away car at a place, which was few meters away from the place, on Sunday morning.

A teacher P Venkateshwarlu, who had went on his bike to bring medicines, was also washed away in the flood water at Srimannarayana colony. He was resident of Srinivasa Nagar Colony in the town. His body was also found near Srimannarayana colony.

As flood water was flowing onto the road, road connection between Kodad and Mellacheruvu was distrupted and vehicles were not being allowed on the route.
