She said RSS never recognised the Constitution of India. She insisted on a united fight against the BJP in the country. She alleged that the BJP government was helping crony capitalists Ambani and Adani.
Brinda Karat was addressing a CITU meeting after inaugurating the ‘Bashetti Madhav Rao Vignana Kendram’ in Adilabad town. She alleged that the BJP was ruling the country like the British and this is evident with its policies being implemented against the marginalised sections in the country.
Brinda Karat said the saffron party conspired to implement the ‘Manusmruti’ instead of Constitution of India to divide people on communal lines and alleged that the BJP government waived crores of rupees borrowed by corporates while neglecting the welfare of the poor. She said the BJP government is trying to wipe out Adivasi's rights and is also targeting the minorities.
She recalled the fight waged against the Nizam and the British forces for the rights of Adivasis by legendary Adivasi leaders Komaram Bheem and Ramji Gond. She called upon CITU cadre and leaders to fight for the regularisation of workers in various departments.
Former High Court judge Justice B. Chandrakumar, former MP Midum Bapurao, former MLC Cherupalli Seetharamulu, CITU state secretary Paladugu Bhaskar also spoke on the occasion.
CITU national leader M. Saibabu, vice- president Jayalaxmi, secretary Kurapati Ramesh, TAGS state vice- president Bandaru Ravikumar, state general secretary Pusam Sachin and district leaders Darshanala Mallesh and Lanka Raghvulu and Bandi Dattatri were present.
