Brisk arrangements for State Formation Day celebrations at Parade Ground
Hyderabad: The arrangements being made by the State government for the successful conduct of Telangana Formation Day celebrations on June 2 at Parade Ground in Secunderabad are going on at a brisk pace.
Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, in principle, agreed to participate as chief guest in the celebrations being organised on a grand scale by the Congress government at Parade Ground.
To protect participants from scorching heat and rain, the officials are putting up separate sheds.
Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari already visited Parade Ground and inspected the arrangements. She instructed the officials to work in coordination so that the function is conducted in a grand and befitting manner.
She enquired with the officials about the details of stage arrangements, barricading, electricity, water supply, mike system and LED screens and suggested certain improvements. The police officers were asked about the details of the arrangements to be made in order to avoid traffic disruption, parking arrangements and VIP traffic.
She also conducted a review meeting with the secretaries and senior officials of various departments at the Secretariat and took stock of the arrangements being made for the State's formation Day.
