Brothel Exposed in Khairatabad: Victims Detail Coercion Tactics

Hyderabad: One of the victims who was rescued during a raid on a brothel has stated that she was trapped to do sex work by its organiser Ayesha Siddiqua. Four women rescued from the brothel, that was being run in Khairatabad, were shifted to a state home. Siddiqua, who had been running the brothel under the guise of a marriage bureau, has been arrested

The victim said her husband had taken to alcohol and had abandoned her. She was looking to remarry, and was informed about Siddiqua by an autorickshaw driver named Abid Khan. The duo then pushed her to do sex work. She said she had contacted her husband who turned her down.

“We have seized Ayesha’s mobile phones and circulated her pictures to different police stations to check on her background,” S. Rajashekhar, Khairatabad inspector, told Deccan Chronicle.
