Warangal: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a scathing attack on BRS president K. Chandrashekar Rao for evading accountability, and BJP Telangana president and Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy for parroting the line of the BRS.

"Instead of hiding in the farmhouse and letting two cheap leaders, Billa (K.T. Rama Rao) and Ranga (T. Harish Rao), talk nonsense every day, KCR should come to the Assembly and address people's issues directly," he said while speaking at a massive public rally, ‘Indira Mahila Shakti Praja Palana Vijayotsavam’, held at the Arts and Science College ground in Hanamkonda on Tuesday.

Revanth Reddy accused the BRS and BJP of plotting against Telangana’s progress. "They are conspiring to obstruct developmental works initiated by the Congress government. But we will not back down. We are ready to send them to jail if needed," he warned.

Revanth Reddy reiterated his long-standing challenge to the BRS. "When I became TPCC chief in 2021, I declared that I would defeat BRS and KCR in the Assembly polls. I fulfilled my promise. I now declare that I will not let the sapling of KCR or BRS grow again in Telangana," he asserted, vowing to dismantle the BRS.

The Chief Minister accused Kishan Reddy of acting in coordination with BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao. "Whenever KTR speaks against the Congress, Kishan Reddy parrots the same criticism the next day, as if there’s an understanding between them," he remarked.

Revanth Reddy criticised Kishan Reddy for his remarks about the Congress’ deference to AICC leader Sonia Gandhi. Referring to Kishan Reddy's criticism that Revanth Reddy was “Sonia's slave”, the CM said: "Sonia Gandhi is the mother of Telangana's 4 crore people. Touching her feet and seeking blessings is not servitude; it’s respect."

Revanth Reddy accused Kishan Reddy of betraying Telangana by aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who once belittled the passage of the statehood legislation in Parliament.

"Without Sonia Gandhi, the six-decade long dream of achieving statehood for Telangana would not have been fulfilled. Modi insulted and betrayed the people of Telangana with his statement in Parliament that the Telangana Bill was passed in an improper manner by closing doors and switching off lights. Kishan Reddy should be ashamed of doing gulamgiri to Modi who insulted Telangana. He should wash the feet of Sonia Gandhi and sprinkle water on his head to get rid of at least some of his sins," Revanth Reddy said, referring to the BJP state president.

Revanth Reddy said Kishan Reddy had no moral right to stay in Telangana and he should pack his bags and leave for Gujarat. "Kishan Reddy boasts that PM Modi cleansed the Sabarmati river in Gujarat. Why is he obstructing the cleaning of the Musi river here? Instead of sleeping near the Musi river, he should be thankful to the people of Secunderabad who made him MP, and not Modi," Revanth Reddy said.

He highlighted the Congress government’s achievements in its 10-month rule, including creating 50,000 government jobs, waiving ₹18,000 crore in farm loans for 22 lakh farmers, and facilitating the cultivation of a record 66 lakh metric tonnes of paddy. "KCR warned farmers against cultivating paddy, calling it suicidal. But under Congress, Telangana has truly become the rice bowl of the country," he stated.

Revanth Reddy highlighted the Congress's commitment to women's empowerment, contrasting it with Chandrashekar Rao’s governance. He criticised the former chief minister for excluding women from his Cabinet, whereas the Congress appointed two women leaders from Warangal, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka and Konda Surekha, likening them to goddesses Sammakka and Saralamma. "Under Congress, women finally feel liberated after 10 years of BRS misrule," he added.

Revanth Reddy accused Chandrashekar Rao of turning Telangana into a state of drunkards. "By opening countless liquor shops, KCR became the unanimous president of Telangana’s drunkards' association," he said, accusing him of prioritizing revenue over public welfare.

Revanth Reddy asserted that Telangana had lost nothing except the dominance of Chandrashekar Rao’s family after the defeat of the BRS in the Assemnly elections last year. "Because Telangana removed KCR and his family from power, the youth got jobs, women’s self-help groups received interest-free loans, and farmers got rid of debt burden," he declared.
