BRS Govt Lacked Sincerity to Create Jobs: Uttam

Suryapet: Minister for irrigation and civil supplies N Uttam Kumar Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the BRS government had not made sincere efforts to fill up two lakh vacant posts during its nine-and-half years tenure.
Laying the foundation stone for new ITI, which was taken up at an estimated cost of Rs 40 crore at Huzurnagar, he said the BRS government had poured water on the hopes of students and youth, who fought for formation of Telangana with a belief of improving employment opportunities in the separate state. He accused former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao of lack of sincerity to fill up vacancies during his government.
He said the state government is setting up of new advanced technology centres in ITIs to improve employment opportunities to the youth by training them in tune with the requirement of industries.
Stating that 290 ITIs including 65 run by the government were offering 32 different courses, he said solar technician and fashion design courses would also be introduced in ITIs.
The state government has taken up modernization of ITIs with Rs 2,324 crore. Nalgonda MP Kunduru Raghuveer Reddy said the state government was committed to improving employment opportunities to the youth by providing training to them in latest technologies which had demand in the job market. He asked students to utilize ITIs to purse interested courses.
Earlier, the minister has laid foundation stone for development works which were taken up with Rs 125 crore in Huzurnagar.
District collector Tejas Nandlal Pawar and Huzurnagar municipal chairperson G Archana attended the programme.
