BRS Sets Up Study Group on Gurukul Schools Conditions

The BRS on Monday said it was setting up a committee to study the conditions in Gurukul schools in order to present the government with a set of recommendations aimed at improving their conditions. The committee will be headed by former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar who had previously headed the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society for 10 years before resigning from service and joining politics. (DC)

 Hyderabad: The BRS on Monday said it was setting up a committee to study the conditions in Gurukul schools in order to present the government with a set of recommendations aimed at improving their conditions. The committee will be headed by former IPS officer R.S. Praveen Kumar who had previously headed the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society for 10 years before resigning from service and joining politics.

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao, who visited the families to two students who passed away at the Gurukul school in Yellareddypet mandal in Rajanna Sircilla district, urged the government not to view the BRS effort as political but one seeking to contribute to the betterment of conditions at the state-run schools.
