Burglars broke open SBI, looted around Rs.10 crores worth gold ornaments

Warangal: Burglars broke into the Raiparthy branch of the State Bank of India (SBI) and looted around `10 crore worth gold ornaments from lockers on Monday night in Warangal district.

According to the police, the burglars after disconnecting the power supply cut open the windows with gas cutters and entered the bank. The staff noticed the robbery on Tuesday morning. Officials immediately the police and bank senior officials.

The police said that the bank officials were drawing up an estimate of the loss. Bank officials lodged a complaint based on which case was registered and police started an investigation by deploying special teams.
