Adilabad: Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamsi and his father Chennur MLA Vivek on Tuesday said Union minister Nitin Gadkari had sanctioned Rs 100 crore for laying a road as part of expansion and repairs at Joduvagula on NH-63 in Chennur constituency. This will prevent frequent road accidents and deaths caused by the damaged road.

Speaker Gaddam Prasad and BJP MP Konda Vishweshwar Reddy were present at the meeting. Speaker Prasad requested Gadakari to upgrade three state roads in his Assembly constituency Vikarabad to National Highways and sanction funds for seven roads under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund.

Vamsi and Vivek said immediate repair will be taken up with Rs 1.80 crore at Joduvagula and thanked Gadkari for sanctioning the funds.

Vivek said that he had met Gadkari along with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy previously requested expansion and repairs of NH-63. They also met Railway Board Chairman Satish Kumar and requested him to allow a halt of the Kerala Express at Mancherial, and a special train to Tirupati from Bellampalli. He thanked the authorities for providing a halt for the Vande Bharat Express at Ramagundam.
