Chaos at RGIA as Alliance Air Fails to Deliver Passengers' Luggage
Hyderabad:About 15 passengers aboard Alliance Air flight 9I517 from Bengaluru found themselves without their luggage upon arrival at the Shamshabad airport here on Thursday. Among the affected passengers was Chava Hanumantha Rao, an advocate.
"We asked repeatedly about the whereabouts of our luggage but we received no clear answers. The service agents were unable to provide any assistance. Even after waiting for over an hour, the manager failed to address the issue," Rao said.
The incident involved nearly seven women passengers, several of whom were travelling alone. The passengers, some of whom left without any clear communication from the airline, said that it seemed like they were taken for a ride, with no sense of responsibility shown by the airline staff.
Meanwhile, a representative of Alliance Air told Deccan Chronicle that the issue arose due to a technical defect that prevented a door from opening, which resulted in the bags being left behind at Bengaluru. The representative mentioned that efforts were being made to bring the luggage to Hyderabad on the next available flight.
" It's shocking that we still have no idea where the luggage is or when we'll get it," Rao added. As of late Thursday night, no official statement had been released by the airline regarding the incident, leaving passengers in a state of uncertainty.
