Bhadradri Kothagudem: Cherla police arrested senior Maoist leader, Karatam Joga alias Rajesh, who carried a reward of Rs.20 lakh on his head in Chhattisgarh, along with two others in at Danawaipeta of Bhadradri-Kothagudem district on Monday, police said.

Joga was in charge of the technical and military wing of South Bastar. Of the two arrested, one was Punam Jogal alais Raju, Jerugugonda area committee member in Chhattisgarh; and Cherla native M. Geetha Gayatri, the alleged courier.

Police said Joga had taken part in attacks on CRPF camps at Darmaram and Telakuguram this year, along with Jogal. He was also participated in attack at Thadmetla in 2010, which claimed the lives of 75 police personnel.
