 Hyderabad: The boon given to Lord Ganesha by his father Lord Shiva was that devotees could see Him in whatever form they wanted. Probably that's why we come across various forms of Lord Ganesha during the festival.

A city-based culinary institute has installed a Ganesha idol made with chocolate, which received all the pujas for three days. The devotees then immersed the idol in 30 litres of milk and distributed the it as prasadam to the students.

Chef Vandana, a food production faculty in Roots College of Hotel Management, Somajiguda, where this event took place, said, they used 20 kg of dark compound chocolate corn, chocolate syrup and edible colours. It took around three days to complete the accurately sculpted idol.

Mohammed Abdul Mufaiz, a third semester student, who was involved in making choco idol, felt that celebrating all the festivals irrespective of religion mad these occasions bigger. “I am delighted to be a part of the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations,” he said.
