CM Revanth Consoles Mothilal Family, Assures Help

Warangal, Khammam: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday consoled the family members of Nunavath Mothilal and scientist Dr Ashwini, who were swept away by the in floodwaters from the Akeruvagu stream near Purushothamayagudem in Maripeda mandal of Mahabubabad district.

The CM, along with revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy and other ministers, reached the house of Mothilal at Gangaram thanda and consoled the members of the bereaved family. He garlanded the portraits of Mothilal and Dr Ashwini, paid tributes to them and assured the family of full support from the state government.

He announced an ex gratia of Rs.5 lakh to the bereaved family and said the government would provide a job to the brother of Dr Ashwini. He ordered the officials to take up the construction works of the new bridge scientifically by properly estimating the flood levels of Akeru vagu.

Along with ministers Srinivas Reddy, Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, CM’s adviser Vem Narendar Reddy, MP Porika Balram Naik and MLC Chintapandu Naveen, the CM inspected the bridge at Purushothamayagudem and Sitaram thanda that was submerged due to overflowing of floodwater from Akeru vagu.

After learning from the officials that heavy rains often submerge the three thandas in Meripeda mandal, the CM ordered the officials of the housing department to form a separate colony at a safe place and shift all the people living in three thandas to the colony by allotting them Indiramma houses.

He also ordered the officials to issue new certificates to the flood-affected victims by registering only one FIR, since all the certificates of the people including Aadhar cards and passbooks were damaged in the flood water.
