CM Revanth Reddy takes serious note of farmer’s suicide in Khammam
Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Tuesday took a serious note of the suicide of a farmer Bojadla Prabhakar of Prodduturu village at Chintakani mandal in Khammam district.
The Chief Minister reacted strongly to the incident and ordered the officials to conduct a comprehensive investigation immediately and take stringent action against those responsible for the incident.
In a video taken before ending his life, the farmer said grave injustice was done to him in the ruling Congress government, which claims that it’s a pro-farmer government and urged Revanth Reddy to render justice to him.
Prabhakar said the supporters of Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka encroached his land in Prodduturu village and even after bringing it to the notice of the Mandal Revenue Officer (MRO) and Sub-Inspector (SI) concerned, no action was taken.
As he could not meet the district Collector, he committed suicide by consuming pesticide. The farmer took the drastic step after posting his video on social media and the video went viral today.
