CM Revanth to address three public meetings to mark first anniversary celebrations

Hyderabad: Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, as part of the first anniversary celebrations, will address three public meetings focused on specific groups over the next 10 days: At Warangal on November 19 for women, at Mahabubnagar on November 25 with a focus on youth and at Karimnagar on November 30 for farmers. The aim is to showcase the Congress government’s achievements and its initiatives benefiting these key demographic groups.

Women, youth, and farmers are being be mobilised from the districts to attend these meetings.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka has been tasked with overseeing the anniversary celebrations. Coordination committees have been formed to ensure their seamless execution. In meetings with these committees, plans for thematic public meetings were finalised to emphasise the government’s schemes for women, youth, and farmers.
The Congress government estimates that its Mahalakshmi free bus travel is benefiting over 30 lakh women daily, subsidised LPG cylinders is being availed by 50 lakh households and Gruha Lakshmi scheme is providing free electricity up to 200 units to over 50 lakh beneficiaries. The government estimates that these schemes collectively are saving households approximately ₹5,000 a month.

Additionally, the government has revived self-help groups (SHGs) through the Indira Mahila Shakti scheme, offering interest-free loans to 70 lakh SHG members. It also launched Indira Mahila Shakti canteens, run by SHGs in government office complexes in all districts.
For farmers, the Congress government has cleared loans worth ₹18,000 crore for 23 lakh farmers within 25 days. Farmers growing fine paddy varieties now receive a ₹500 bonus per quintal.

For youth, over 50,000 vacancies were filled in 11 months across government departments, with public events held to distribute appointment letters. Major recruitment drives, including TGPSC Group-1, have been conducted. Group-3 exams are scheduled for November 17–18, and Group-2 exams will follow in December. DSC teacher recruitment exams were successfully conducted and over 11,000 posts were filled.
To celebrate Telangana’s rich heritage, a cultural carnival will be organised at Tank Bund and Necklace Road in Hyderabad on November 7 and 8. This carnival will feature local traditions, arts, and cuisine, adding a festive touch to the anniversary events.
