Hyderabad: With the gram panchayat elections tentatively scheduled to be held in December-January, Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, who has given the green signal to implement Indiramma housing scheme and caste census, will interact with the district party in-charges and senior leaders with the focus being on the panchayat elections.

Sources said that the Chief Minister will attend a meeting of MPs, MLAs, DCC leaders and senior party leaders, in the city. As part of the brainstorming sessions, Revanth Reddy will give directions and guidelines to bring the Congress government's people-friendly policies to the notice of the people.

The Chief Minister is also focused on strengthening the cadre and activities from the village level by conducting door-to-door campaigns recalling the Congress party's promises made during the Assembly elections and the successful implementation of various schemes.

The government has announced to provide Rs 5 lakh funds to the poor to construct houses under the Indiramma scheme. The government is all set to conduct a caste census from November 6 and AICC leader Rahul Gandhi is attending a meeting on caste census at Gandhi Bhavan on Tuesday.

Despite the debt-ridden situation because of BRS administrative lapses, the Congress has been implementing its promised Six Guarantees, sources pointed out.

Revanth Reddy was urging party leaders and cadre to mingle with people in the districts with a focus on the gram panchayat elections to ensure more Congress activists become sarpanches. He will assign tasks to the party MLAs, MPs, ministers and senior leaders along with district in-charges to assist the ruling party activists in having more Congress sarpanches.
