CMR College declares three-day holiday amid investigation into washroom recording case

Hyderabad: Police have intensified their investigation into the incident of secret filming within the hostel washroom at CMR Engineering College in Medchal. The investigation team has questioned the hostel warden and six others, and seized 12 mobile phones as part of the probe. Fingerprints were also collected during the investigation.
Following student protests on Wednesday over the incident, the college declared a three-day holiday.
The State Women's Commission took suo moto cognizance of the matter, registered a case, and issued notices to the college management. Commission secretary Padmaja Ramana visited the hostel to gather information from the affected students.
