Hyderabad: Levelling allegations against the Telangana government for seeking 15 per cent “cut money” for every project to be implemented in the state, BJP leader and Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar said that it has become the new norm in the ruling dispensation.

Furthermore, the Congress-led government in the state has failed to fulfil the poll promises and, on the other hand, advertisements are being issued in Maharashtra to deceive the people there, he said.

Sanjay Kumar, while addressing an election meeting at Nagpur in Maharashtra, stated, “The Congress is trying to cheat the people of Maharashtra by falsely claiming fulfilling loan waiver as well as reservation promises for the minorities. However, the Supreme Court had struck down the ruling on the quota. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy has been spending crores on advertisements but he does not mention about the Six Guarantees to the people of Maharashtra. Among the poll promises made to the people of Telangana, 10 gms of gold, a scooter and Rs 2,500 monthly pension for eligible woman had been assured, but none was fulfilled.”

Besides, the Congress had also promised Rs 4,000 per month to unemployed youth and creation of two lakh jobs in the first year of the government formation. “The other election vows such as 42 per cent reservation for BCs, Rs 5 lakh financial support for education, Rs 5 lakh monetary aid for the construction of a house, Rs 5,000 per acre as Rythu Bharosa, Rs 2,000 for agriculture labourers and others, were yet to be implemented,” Sanjay Kumar added.

The promise of providing a Rs 500 bonus per quintal for paddy to farmers has not been materialised and employees were not given four DAs and PRC was not implemented, Sanjay Kumar said, adding, hence he appealed to the people of Maharashtra to give BJP another chance.
