NIZAMABAD: Gadugu Gangadhar, member of the agriculture and farmers welfare commission, said that the introduction of Bhu Bharathi will benefit farmers. He criticised the Dharani portal, launched by the BRS, for adversely affecting farmers by favouring middlemen.

During his interaction with farmers on Thursday, Gangadhar highlighted that former chief minister K. Chandrashekar Rao dismantled the traditional revenue system, giving undue advantage to middlemen. He added that fulfilling a poll promise, the Congress abolished the Dharani portal. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, after consulting with experts and top revenue officials, introduced Bhu Bharathi to support farmers effectively.

Gangadhar also expressed his approval of the new ROR Act passed in the Assembly, emphasising that the prosperity of farmers is a reflection of the state’s wealth. He noted the farming community’s jubilant mood following the legislation. In his remarks, Gangadhar thanked Chief Minister Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for enacting the new law.
