Hyderabad: The Congress high command summoned the sulking Congress MLC T Jeevan Reddy to New Delhi to pacify and prevent him from quitting the MLC post.

Jeevan Reddy was upset with the Telangana Congress leadership for welcoming the BRS MLA M Sanjay Kumar into the party a few days ago. Since then he was aggrieved and threatened to quit as an MLC. Though Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, IT Minister D Sridhar Babu and other leaders went to his residence and pacified him, Jeevan Reddy expressed his resentment and refused to withdraw his decision.

As Jeevan Reddy did not relent, All India Congress Committee (AICC) Telangana incharge Deepa Dasmunshi spoke to Jeevan Reddy over phone on Wednesday and asked him to immediately meet her in New Delhi. She asked the Government whip and MLA A. Laxman to accompany Jeevan Reddy to New Delhi.

Jeevan Reddy threatened to quit as an MLC protesting against the decision taken to induct Sanjay Kumar. He sought to know how the party welcomed Sanjay Kumar when he was fighting against him in the constituency.
