Congress to Launch Praja Palana Anniversary in Warangal on November 19

Warangal: The Congress, under Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, will launch the Praja Palana Vijayotsavalu on November 19 from Warangal, marking one year of the party’s governance. Warangal, Telangana’s second-largest city after Hyderabad, is a focus of significant developmental efforts initiated by the Congress government.

The Congress had kickstarted its election campaign last year from Warangal’s Arts and Science College with Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as chief guests. Rahul Gandhi also announced the Rythu Declaration at a massive public meeting at the same venue.
Since its Assembly election victory, the Congress government has executed major developmental projects in the united Warangal district. According to Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendar Reddy, ` 250 crore were allocated for flood prevention, with works like the Naimnagar nala and bridge completed in just five months at a cost of Rs 8.5 crore. A new Government Polytechnic College building costing Rs 28 crore was sanctioned, and the Kaloji Kalakshetram was constructed for Rs 95 crore.
Parkal MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy highlighted initiatives such as Rs 205 crore for land acquisition for the Mamnoor airport and Rs 160.92 crore for flood-proofing the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park. The government also approved a master plan for Warangal Development Area with Vision 2041, including Rs 32.5 crore for a five-story administrative tower for the Greater Warangal Municipal Corporation (GWMC).
Wardhannapet MLA K.R. Nagaraju emphasised Warangal 2.0, with projects like regional and ring roads, tank restoration, underground drainage, and extensive development across 181 villages and 19 mandals under GWMC limits.
