Kothagudem Police conducted medical camp and distributed essential items to guthikoya tribals of naxal affected areas in Edulla bayyaram police station limits.

Bhadradri- Kothagudem: Superintendent of Police B. Rohith Raju announced on Saturday that the police are committed to the welfare and development of the Adivasi communities in the district. Speaking at a large health camp in Pitta Thogu, Raju criticised the banned CPI (Maoist) for obstructing development in agency areas.

Raju highlighted that the police are collaborating with the education sector, health services, and TGSRTC to improve living conditions for Adivasis. Efforts are also underway to raise awareness about state welfare schemes and assist Adivasis in accessing these benefits. He emphasised that leaders of the banned Maoist group have become anti-development forces, contributing to the backwardness of these regions. Many Maoist members have surrendered due to relentless police actions, and Raju urged locals to report any new suspicious individuals.
Approximately 300 Adivasis from Tirlapuram, Mallapuram, and Pitta Thogu, including Gutti Koya residents, received services at the medical camp. During the event, Raju travelled to Pitta Thogu via motorcycle through a forested area and distributed solar lamps, blankets to Gutti Koyas, and books and slates to children, reinforcing the police’s role in community development and support.
