Decide on Releasing Rythu Bharosa Amount in Next Cabinet Meeting: BJP
Hyderabad: BJP floor leader Aleti Maheshwar Reddy demanded the state government decide on providing the pending two instalments of Rythu Bharosa to farmers in the coming Cabinet meeting on Saturday. He said that the Cabinet must come out with a clear action plan to provide all pending promises of farmers in the state.
Addressing a press conference, Maheshwar Reddy said the Cabinet sub-committee headed by Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka was constituted to fix the modalities to provide Rythu Bharosa and asked to submit its report within one month. But, even after six months, the committee has not yet given its report. He demanded the committee present its report to the Cabinet to take a decision on Rythu Bharosa to farmers and farm workers. Revenue minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy said the state was having 15 lakh farm workers and assured to provide them with Rs 9,000 crore. He asked the government to clear the pending dues of the Kharif and Rabi seasons.
Maheshwar Reddy charged that the Congress government passed one year in power as without fulfilling a single poll promise. He advised the government to correct its mistakes this year and start implementing a full waiver of farm loans to all eligible farmers and implement Rythu Bharosa. He also charged that the Congress government completed one year in power by adopting diversion tactics from real issues and trying to crush the voice of Opposition.
