Development Should Reflect in Lives of Villagers: Tummala
Khammam: Minister for agriculture Tummala Nageswara Rao on Tuesday said that infrastructure and amenities in villages would be improved to give a real meaning to rural development.
Laying the foundation stone for internal roads in Donamanda grama panchayat of Raghunadapalem, taken up at Rs 50 lakh of MGNREGS funds, he said, development of villages should reflect in the lives of people. He underlined the need for providing employment to people in the works to be taken up in their areas.
He directed officials to take up planting in forest land in which employment should be provided to villagers.
He also instructed officials to identify land for construction of a community hall at Donamanda and send a proposal to him. He also suggested to officials to set up a library in the community hall.
