Nizamabad:A comprehensive door-to-door survey began in Nizamabad and Kamareddy districts on Wednesday. Enumerators visited houses and commenced a three-day house listing. After completing the house listing, they will initiate the caste survey. At least 3,245 enumerators are engaged in the survey.

After completing morning classes in primary schools, secondary-grade teachers, non-teaching staff, and other personnel visited houses to conduct the listing. Data collection will start on Saturday and conclude in three weeks. Trained survey teams interacted with families and verified household stickers.

District collector Rajiv Gandhi Hanumanthu visited Seethaipet village in Dharpally mandal on Wednesday to observe the survey. He emphasised that people should cooperate with the survey teams and provide genuine information on social and economic issues. Following the guidance of the state government, the survey will be conducted in municipal towns and villages across the district.

In Nizamabad, municipal commissioner Dilip Kumar visited various colonies to oversee the survey process. He verified the pro formas and registers of the survey teams, stressing that the teams should visit every household to collect information on socio-economic, educational, employment, political, and caste aspects.

Speaking to reporters, Kamareddy collector Ashish Sanghwan stated that details of migrated families are also being collected in the door-to-door survey. A 75-question format will be used to gather information, he added.

There are 2.90 lakh households identified in Kamareddy district, and all families will be covered during the survey, he said. A total of 2,366 enumerators will work on the survey to complete it in two phases: house listing and data collection, he explained.
