Hyderabad:Continuing its investigation into the alleged medical seats irregularities case, Enforcement Directorate officials on Friday questioned BRS leader Chalimeda Lakshmi Narasimha Rao, chairman of the Chalimeda Ananda Rao Institute of Medical Sciences.

ED officials recorded his statement in connection with medical seats which were blocked by the management and allegedly sold to students as donation seats by collecting huge amounts.

A day after the ED officials recorded the statements of Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences representative in a similar case, the agency officials intensified the probe by questioning Lakshmi Narasimha Rao who had contested the Assembly elections from Vemulawada as the BRS candidate.

It was reported that the ED officials have obtained leads in connection with the irregularities and started serving notices and questioning the medical college managements suspecting of fraudulent seats allocation by collecting huge money in the form of cash from students.
