Etala Thanks Modi for Raising Subsidy on DAP

Hyderabad: Malkajgiri Lok Sabha MP Etala Rajendar thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for increasing the subsidy on DAP from Rs 2,650 crore in the last financial year to Rs 3,850 crore in the current financial year.

Rajendar said the Union Cabinet as a New Year gift has increased the subsidy amount on DAP to further lessen the burden on the farming community in the country.

The Cabinet has also approved extension of the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and Restructured Weather Based Crop Insurance Scheme till 2025-26 with an overall outlay of Rs 69,515.71 crore.

The decision will help in risk coverage of crops from unavoidable natural calamities for farmers across the country till 2025-26, he said.

Rajender demanded that the Revanth Reddy government implement the crop insurance scheme in the state to protect farmers from natural calamities.
