KARIMNAGAR: The state government will ensure irrigation needs of farmers until the last acre in the coming rabi season, said Choppadandi MLA Medipally Satyam, after inspecting the Narayanpur reservoir at Gangadhara mandal in Karimnagar district on Tuesday.

His visit aimed at reassuring farmers that the government is committed to backing the farm sector with adequate irrigation resources, especially during growing periods.

Speaking on the occasion, MLA Satyam said the Narayanpur reservoir will serve as a vital water resource for the Choppadandi constituency. It is a lifeline for not only agricultural activities but also drinking needs of people of the constituency.

Farmers need not worry listening to the words of opposition leaders. By maintaining water levels in the reservoir, the government is ready to supply water for every acre of land.

Congress leaders V. Tirumala Rao, V. Bhaskar, T. Karunakar, irrigation EE Srinivas Gupta, MRO Anupama Rao and MPDO Ram were present at the meeting.
