Film Industry Will Support Revati’s Family, Says Dil Raju
Hyderabad: Telangana Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman and film producer Dil Raju on Tuesday assured full support to the family of M. Revati, who died in a stampede during the premiere show of ‘Pushpa-2’ on December 4. Her son Sri Tej is battling life-threatening injuries.
“Revati’s husband Bhaskar will be offered a permanent job in the film industry if he is interested. As FDC chairman, I will take responsibility for solving their problems. They have a seven-year-old daughter and I will ensure all their needs are met,” said Dil Raju, whose full name is Velamakucha Venkata Ramana Reddy.
He met Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy after visiting Sri Teja at KIMS hospital.
Speaking to media persons after his meeting with the Chief Minister, Dil Raju said the film industry was committed to supporting the affected family and resolving issues arising from the incident.
Dil Raju said he sought an appointment of the Chief Minister to meet him along with other film personalities.
“CM Revanth Reddy has promised to give us an appointment tomorrow or the day after. All of us from the film industry will meet him. The Chief Minister has given me the responsibility of acting as a bridge between the government and the film industry,” Dil Raju said.
He also announced his plans to meet actor Allu Arjun to further coordinate between the industry and the government. Dil Raju expressed deep sorrow over the incident, calling it unexpected and unintentional.
“Revati’s family came all the way from Dilsukhnagar to the theatre for entertainment. No one anticipates such events,” he said.
