Four house burglars arrested, were prison mates

Hyderabad: Rajendranagar police station and CCS Rajendranagar Zone staff joined hands to nab four house burglars and one receiver and detected five pre-existing cases against them within the Rajendranagar, Raidurgam and Petbasheerabad police station limits and seized gold and diamond ornaments of approximately 600 grams and a bike.

The accused were identified as — Gunjapogu Sudhakar, 33, an auto driver and a resident of Mehdipatnam, Bandari Samson, 22, a car cleaner and a resident of Saroornagar, Shanidev Salunke, 20, a welder in Narayanaguda Colony and a native of Pune, Amarjeet Singh, 31, driver and a native of Punjab, Gunjapogu Suresh, 30, a car driver and a resident of Mehdipatnam.

Gunjapogu Sudhakar is an habitual offender, and has committed many automobile thefts, house breaking offences within various police station limits and was previously involved in almost 50 property offences. The PD Act was invoked against him by the Asif Nagar Police. When he was in jail, he made friends with the A2 and A3, and planned the execution of the thefts at the jail. A4 is the friend of A3, A5 is the brother of A1.

The material recovered from the accused totalled up to Rs 35 lakh.
