Adilabad: Peddapalli MP Gaddam Vamshi on Tuesday alleged that Union home minister Amit Shah, by his derogatory remarks on Dr B. R. Ambedkar, has not only insulted Ambedkar alone, but Dalits, OBCs and other marginalised sections of society.

Calling upon Dalits and OBCs to unite, he demanded that Amit Shah tender an unconditional apology to people on his remarks.

He alleged that the BJP was making efforts to change the Constitution to get control over the institutions. Talking about One Nation One Election as part of BJP’s conspiracy, he said this is against the diversity of the country and the Constitution.

Vamshi said BJP and its leaders are showing their highhandedness. He questioned why Amit Shah is silent on the Sambal communal incident in which five persons were killed and the BJP has failed to resolve the ethnic conflict in Manipur.

Recalling past incidents, Vamsi recalled that former BJP minister Arun Shourie had insulted Ambedkar while BJP MP Ananth Kumar Hegde had insulted the Constitution.
