Hyderabad: Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Friday caught L. Balwanth Reddy, a GHMC Assistant Engineer (AE) in Rajendranagar, red handed when he allegedly demanded and accepted a bribe of Rs.15,000 from a complainant.

The bribe was allegedly demanded from the complainant Mohammed Muzaffaruddin Quadri, a civil contractor to prepare a bill for the completed work and forward it to the Deputy Executive Engineer for further process.

The ACB officials recovered the tainted bribe amount of Rs.15,000 from the possession of Reddy and his fingers of both hands yielded positive results in the chemical test. They said Reddy performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
