Hyderabad: To address persistent water stagnation issues in Madhapur, Khairatabad, and Banjara Hills, the GHMC proposed a series of measures. A box drain has been proposed near Matha Bhuvaneswari Society in Madhapur, a rainwater harvesting pit at Shilparamam. Elsewhere, two sumps equipped with motors have been proposed at the RTA office in Khairatabad and near the Mercure Hotel in Banjara Hills. These sumps are anticipated to end waterlogging issues. "Initially, the plan was to build two sumps with a capacity of 5 lakh litres each, but due to space constraints, the size of each unit will be 3 lakh litres," said an official from the civic body.
