Hyderabad: Prof. Atul Negi, dean of the School of Computer and Information Sciences (SCIS) at the University of Hyderabad, highlighted the transformative risks posed by quantum threats and stressing the urgency for collective efforts to address these emerging vulnerabilities.

He was speaking at a an event to mark Global Encryption Day, where the focus was on the rapid pace of advancements in quantum computing and the rising tide of quantum attacks which call for enhanced encryption strategies. The event, organised in collaboration with the Internet Society (ISOC), Hyderabad, demonstrated how digital privacy and security were poised to face unprecedented challenges.

“Encryption must evolve into a fundamental right to ensure the integrity and security of our digital lives,” Raidu stated.
